    Course Objectives Classification of Data Communication topics will be carried out within the framework of layered architecture of computer networking. The layers that contain data communication matters will be studied together with their hardware and software components. The physical properties of data communication media, data encoding techniques, solution to flow control and error control problems will be investigated together with routing problem.
    Learning Outcomes

    The students who succeeded in this course;

    • Can classify data communication problems.
    • Can compute the effects of properties of physical data communication environments on end to end communication performance.
    • Possesses information on software that is capable of providing data and flow control.
    • Can compute the performance of multiple access techniques on cable environment.
    • Can identify the factors that can increase the performance in wireless multiple access environments.
    • Possesses information on the effects of Internet data routing techniques on congestion control problem..
