    Course Objectives The purpose of this course is to inform students on current issues on various maritime areas and limitations of State jurisdiction. In particular, it is aimed to compare foreign states immunity, state officials immunities, diplomatic and consular privileges and immunities. Then, international organizations featuring among the principal actors and subjects of the international community and their functions and activities are to be examined.
    Learning Outcomes

    The students who succeeded in this course;

    • Students who succeeded in this course will be able to: • Define the legal aspects of maritime areas
    • Clarify the scope and limits of state sovereignty.
    • Examine States’ and their officials’ immunities.
    • Analyze diplomatic and consular privileges and immunities.
    • Submit information on different types of international organizations, their main examples and evaluate the structure and activities of some specific organizations.
    Course Description In the scope of this course, maritime areas, diplomatic and consular privileges, immunities and specific status are examined. Different types of international organizations and their activities are being analyzed.
