Course Objectives The aim of this course is to investigate antipsychotics, antidepressants, anxiolytics and other drugs used in the treatment of psychological disorders. At the same time, it is aimed to examine the effects, indications, contraindications, and side effects of drugs in medical, behavioral, and cognitive aspects.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Will be able to explain basic principles of psychopharmacology
  • Will be able to describe the effects of drugs on the nervous system
  • Will be able to evaluate the interaction between different types of drugs and neurotransmitters
  • Will be able to discuss the indications and contraindications of drugs used in different psychopathologies
  • Will be able to explain side effects of drugs
Course Description The course investigates psychopharmacological drugs used in treatments and their medical, behavioral, and cognitive effects.
