Course Objectives This course provides students a deep understanding of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, developmental disorders, autistic spectrum disorder and attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders in children and adolescents. The aim is provide detailed knowledge about symptomatology, etiology, differential diagnostic, epidemiology and treatment approaches of psychological disorders in childhood and adolescence.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Will be able to discuss social, cognitive, physical and emotional aspects of child and adolescent development.
  • Will be able to define clinical aspects of psychological problems in childhood and adolescence.
  • Will be able to list psychological problem areas and psychopathologies related to children and adolescents.
  • Will be able to explain causing and maintaining factors of child and adolescent psychopathologies from psychological, developmental, and social aspects.
  • Will be able to plan treatment for psychological disorders in childhood and adolescence.
Course Description This course provides detailed knowledge about symptomatology, etiology, differential diagnostic, epidemiology and treatment approaches of psychological disorders in childhood and adolescence.
