Course Objectives The objective of this course is to increase understanding notions and legislation of e-setting, e-government, e-commerce, e-sign because of increasing applications of these, analyse of e-contracts, examine unfair competition and intellectual property rights on the electronic media, study personal rights on internet and proteciton of these rights and legal responsibility of internet broadcasting.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Students who succesfully complete this course will be able to;
  • Explain historical development of internet, related institutions and related legislation, e-setting.
  • Apprehend establishment and operation of e-commerce.
  • Apprehend establishment and operation of e-commerce.
  • Explain E-contracts within the frame of Turkish Code of Obligations.
  • Determine unfair competition states, respondent and sort of lawsuit in these states.
  • Determine how to protect intellectual property rights on internet and which legal way to apply against these breaches.
Course Description Course’s content consists of examination of e-setting, e-government and e-commerce, electronic contracts, unfair competition on internet, breaches of intellectual property rights and personal rights.
