Course Objectives At the end of the course, students are aimed to learn the nursing care of individuals with fecal and / or urinary diversion, fistula and chronic wounds.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Students who have successfully completed this course; 1. describe the anatomy, physiology and physiopathology of the gastro-intestinal and genito-urinary system 2. explain the nursing care that should be applied before the stoma surgery 3. describe nursing care after stoma surgery 4. can diagnose chronic wounds 5. describe chronic wound types describe wound dressings
Course Description This course includes, indications of stoma surgery, nursing care before and after stoma surgery, care for chronic wounds and chronic wounds.
