Course Objectives To identify , analyse and make synthesis of fashion trends through the use of observatory data,market based information, sociocultural analysis and contemporary art & design. To enhance intelligence about future directions, to translate and visualize future concepts in to a design language. To develop visual communication and presentation skills through the use of advanced presentation techniques. To enhance writing skills to be able to define and conceptualize the trends with the appropriate wording
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Student will be able to evaluate the economic, social and environmental factors for the fashion industry.
  • Student will be able analyze the news issues, changes and trends in contemporary design and art in such a way that they can be integrated into design practice.
  • Student will be able to identify problems of design disciplines in times of global / environmental crisis.
  • Student will be able to make a research on current trends which orientate the direction of fashion industry through seasonal readings and product analysis.
  • Student will be able to develop design solutions in order to make predictions regarding consumer behavior, current trends , and expentancy of a specific sector related to fashion and design.
Course Description In this course students define the current issues based on an autonomous research by using sources upon contemporary art and design. Based on this analysis and observation they conceptualize and visualize the future tendencies which can be utilized via the various sectors in the fashion industry.
