Course Objectives The course aims to develop an understanding related to market principles and regulations on fossil fuels. For this purpose, fossil fuel based markets shall be examined. At the beginning of the course, petroleum market shall be examined. Then developments in the natural gas market, LNG and LPG market will be analyzed from legal perspective. After giving detailed information about the relevant energy markets and legislation, the course will be completed with examination of the following subjects : administrative and punitive sanctions in the legislation, settlement of energy disputes, low carbon development.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • describe concepts related to fossil fuel market
  • identify regulations related to the natural gas, petroleum and LPG markets in Turkey
  • informed concerning administrative & punitive sanctions in the fossil fuel energy market, generally settlement of disputes in the energy market and low carbon development activities to diminish the negative effect of fossil fuel usage
Course Description The following topics will be examined: Regulations related to the natural gas, LNG, petroleum and LPG markets, administrative and punitive sanctions in the fossil fuel market, settlement of disputes, low carbon development.
