    The students who succeeded in this course;

    • Discuss the effect of culture on people, health and disease and the factors affecting it,
    • Interpret the relationship between religion, culture and health,
    • Explain the definition, purpose, importance and historical development of intercultural nursing,
    • Explain cultural competence and development process
    • List intercultural nursing models and their usage areas,
    • Explain health practices in different cultures in the world,
    • Evaluate different cultures and health approaches in Turkey.
    Course Description This course covers the topics of health, illness and culture, the cultural factors affecting health and illness, the relationship between religion, health and culture, the definition, purpose, importance and historical development of intercultural nursing, cultural competence and development process, intercultural nursing odels and usage areas in the world, different cultures and health approaches in Turkey, cultural diversity and health practices in Turkey.
