    Course Objectives The aim of this course is to examine the regulation of collective agreement procedures for public workplaces in the frame of Law No. 4688 on Public Servants' Trade Unions of Turkey and comparative law in the light of public servants’ right to establish trade unions.
    Learning Outcomes

    The students who succeeded in this course;

    • Students who succeeded in this course will be able to: • Explain the meaning and importance of collective labour relations and basic principles of collective labour law regarding public workplaces.
    • Report on international and domestic legal rules about collective labour relations in public workplaces.
    • Define the concepts of government as employer, public servant and trade-union as the social parties of collective relations and regulations about the establishment and activities of public servants’ trade-unions.
    • Give information about the legal framework of collective bargaining and agreement processes according to Law No. 4688 on Public Servants' Trade Unions
    • Explain the historical development of collective agreement law in the world and Turkey regarding public servants’ trade unions.
    • Discuss about and evaluate the provisions of Law No. 4688 on Public Servants' Trade Union in the light of international conventions
    • Examine the court decisions about legal disputes on Law No. 4688 on Public Servants' Trade Union
    Course Description Establishment, activities of public servants’ trade unions and collective agreement procedures according to the provisions of Law No. 4688 on Public Servants' Trade Union in the light of international labour law.
