Course Objectives The consequences of globalization also affect the internal functioning of businesses. The functioning of multinational and multicultural business organizations poses specific problems. In this course, the ways, practices, technologies, and competencies required by business organizations and their functions to deal with these problems are discussed. The aim of the course is to address the issues and developments related to these current problems that are outside of the established curriculum.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Explain the needs of multicultural and multi-location structures in business organizations.
  • Determine the competencies required for the global operation of marketing and logistics functions.
  • Explain the effects of uncertainties posed by globalization on business management, organizational structure and processes.
  • Identify the technological competencies required by digitalization in global business functions.
  • Create a roadmap for the application of current technological developments to core business functions.
Course Description This course examines the needs arising from the effects of globalization in business organizations. Business culture and management practices in multinational, multicultural and organizational structures related to different markets are elaborated. Business functions, technologies and competencies required by global operations are addressed with case studies.
