Course Objectives The aim of this course is to explain the establishment, validity conditions and the provisions and results of the surety contract, which is among the guarantee contracts and has an important place in practice.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Define the elements of the suretyship contract.
  • Classify sureties according to their types.
  • Discuss the practical problems of surety contracts.
  • Explain the special situations in surety contracts.
  • Explain the differences of the suretyship contract from the other guarantee contracts.
Course Description In this course, the differences of the suretyship contract from similar contracts, the conditions of the suretyship, the form of the suretyship agreement, the types of the surety, the relationship between the surety and the creditor, the relationship between the surety and the debtor will be covered.
